Wildfire

During the enormous fire here, the LA Times reminds us that brush and buildings are not the only things to burn:

Charred remains of squirrels and other rodents lay by the road.

    I was standing near a gated community, watching the flames a few days ago, and a man came up behind me. He looked at the flames, heaved a huge sigh and said, "Well. I guess this means I'm going to have a lot of damn racoons in my yard."
    True story.
