Categorizing the misfortunes of others

Lindsay from the Occidental library posted a link to this site on her facebook, and I've become hopelessly hooked. Not only that, but I've realized just how much of a librarian I am.

The site is a collection of micro-stories (Twitter of PostSecret length) of humorous or just plain horrible things that have happened to people. I found myself beginning to categorize them. They have a pretty basic scheme now (the categories are something like Love, Sex, or Miscellaneous). I would expand this. Some of the more prevalent categories are:
Teens being caught by their parents doing something inappropriate.
Romantic relationships with drastically different levels of commitment.
Poorly timed gas or other bodily functions.
Mistaken identity (i.e. patting the wrong person's butt).
Getting called ugly.

There are certainly more, and even some complete stories repeated (Two different people were rear-ended because they slammed on the breaks after seeing a plastic bag that they thought was an animal of some sort). It's a fascinating website, and a good way to discover what people in English speaking countries find embarrassing. A word of warning though: it's highly addictive.
